Disco Fever & Boogie Nights!

Good evening, dear friends :D

Hehe….. during these 2 days, my mind has not been on cooking and recipes, but more on going down memory lane to the 70’s! Wow, being a teenager then was really fun with all the songs from that disco era. Remember the rotating glass disco ball hanging from the above in the discos? Looking back now, I realise that the cool words then were “disco”, “boogie”, “funky”, “shake your booty” and a few more that I can’t remember.

Here’s another two of my favourites – usually, when my chores get all boring and I need some motivation to get going…. I’ll put on my retro CD’s to get the mood going happy! I had earlier written something about this – please READ HERE …. and… READ HERE

I now dedicate the songs below to you (the first one has been remixed, though) – hope you enjoy them ….. :D

Good night and sweet dreams from KL! :D

whoa choesf! you go girl! :) :)

I was a big David Essex fan in the 70’s. I wanted to marry him… I named my daughter after one of his songs – “Myfanway”

I was too plump and lazy to do much discoing… :)

Ah, my dear sweetrosie, now I know where Miffy’s name came come – I thought her name sounds Irish or Scottish.

Hey, I remember David Essex very well, I think us girls used to swoon over his pin-up posters in those days, ey?

It was right after the movie “Saturday Night Fever” and we were all crazy over John Travolta’s moves……when I first met my husband in a party and we danced to this album.

    Good night from KL!

    With love and hugs,

    Happy Sunday dear choesf :)

Isn’t it funny how music marks stages in your life? I can think of quite a few songs/albums that take me right back to a time.

I will always associate that James Blunt song, “You’re Beautiful” with our last trip to KL. It was playing in the taxi on the way to the airport and I was crying (as usual) because we had to leave… Miffy and monty just kept trying to ignore me and look out the window…

hehe, I am such a big baby :)

BTW Myfanwy is a Welsh name that meand “my fine one” :)

Yes, I know exactly what you mean – listening to certain songs does bring back us back to different periods of our lives – both happy and unhappy.

Hey, you are one cute baby! Never mind, when you next visit KL, I will bring you around to eat and visit interesting places here, and we’ll have fun together.

I love the name, Myfanwy…..it reminds me of those beautiful elves in “Lord of the Rings” movies!

    Good night from KL..

Wow, my dear sweetrosie, you are simply amazing – working, studying at the uni and taking care of your family! :D Remember to do Salt Baths at least once a week to de-stress and energise yourself.

Has it been two months already since Miffy started painting her room – this calls for a big “Whoooooo-hooooo”!

Have a really relaxed weekend tomorrow.

    Many hugs,

    choesf :D
