Chinese New Year Reunion Dinner Pictures

Good morning, dear friends :D

Gong Xi Fa Cai, Kong Hei Fatt Choy and Keong Hee Huat Chai to all of you! Hehe, it has been days since I wrote here and it has been a really hectic last 5 days with all the cleaning, shopping, cooking and then visiting of relatives …… and it took me another 2 days to recover from it all! Good news is this year, I did not gain weight but lost some compared to previous years’ CNY period because of that!

Anyway, here are the pictures that my children took for me while I was cooking the 8 dishes for my Family Reunion Dinner. The recipes will follow tomorrow
….

hey choesf :) how are you dear? The photos are very beautiful – the meal looks scrumptious! Your children did a fantastic job with the photos, they really are very good.

I hope you are all having a wonderful time celebrating. It sounds like so much fun :) What is the next big banquet you are cooking? Or is the Reunion dinner the main event in the festivities?

With wishes for love and happiness

    *hugs*

Good morning, dear yen and dear sweetrosie :D

Thank you for your lovely comments….I wanted to post the recipes yesterday but I came down with a sorethroat and cold, and I slept most of the day – hehe, I guess I “ran out of battery” after the cleaning, baking and then feasting!

I will start posting the recipes today….

The next banquet is on this coming Thursday midnight for prayers to the God of Heaven or “Pai Ti Kong” in Hokkien (err…actually I used to offer many dishes in the prayers when I was working – we would even have a whole roasted pig)…and I will be making my own “Roast Pork” or “Siew Yoke” for prayers for the first time and I will post some pictures and recipes here.

Take care and have a nice day! School was off from last week 6 Feb until yesterday, and today, we are back to the grind again, fetching my kids to and from school!

    With peace and joy,

    choesf :D
