Good evening, dear friends, 
Physical sensations such as eye twitches and tics have been accorded a greater sensation in China than in the West. In the West, there are traditions such as if your ear burns, someone is talking about you, but China has developed a highly complex system of fortune telling based upon these sensations. This post here is based on writing in The Chinese Almanac or Tung Shu and has its history for thousands of years in China.
The most important aspect is to remember when you first felt the sensation. Then refer to the period of time listed below to see what the meaning of this sign is. Please do not take this guide as the gospel truth and actual prediction as it is only a form of beliefs practised in the olden days in China.
11pm – 1am
Twitches or tics in the left eye means a noblemen will come to see you. If the right it means you will be invited to a party or feast.
1am – 3am
If in the left eye, this means that something will happen to worry you. If the right eye, then someone is thinking about you.
3am – 5am
If in the left eye, this means that a friend from afar will come and visit you. If the right eye, this means a happy event awaits you.
5am – 7am
In the left eye, this means that a special guest will come. If in the right eye, then everything will go well.
7am – 9am
In the left eye, this means a close friend will come from afar. If in the right eye, then expect a slight injury.
9am – 11am
In the left eye, this means you will go to a party or feast. If the right eye, you will have a quarrel or a disaster.
11am – 1pm
If the left eye, this means you will eat and drink heartily. If the right eye, beware or there will be a disaster.
1pm – 3pm
In the left eye, this means that you are safe and plans go well. In the right eye, it means that you will have a minor happy event.
3pm – 5pm
In the left eye, it means you will lose money. In the right eye, then you will be thinking of your loved one very much.
5pm – 7pm
In the left eye, this means a guest is coming. This is also true for the right eye, but from far away.
7pm -9pm
In the left eye, this means a guest is coming. In the right eye, it means you will go to a big gathering.
9pm – 11pm
In the left eye, it means that a friend is coming. In the right eye, beware of trouble in court.

The information here was obtained from a Tung Shu or Chinese Almanac that I have and the Chinese Almanac contains information that has been researched and applied for thousands of years. Even in Vasthu Sastra, which is like Indian Feng Shui, beliefs in this area also goes back to thousands of years. You may be able to do more research on this topic at your local community library.

Now looking back at life when i remember when my left eye twitches there is normally a few deaths in the family ,as iv just had 2 more deaths in my family on same day while my left eye was twitching
Wasnt really sure about it until now

Wow, your left eye twitches were really uncanny in happening when there are deaths in your family.
I am often wary whenever my eyes twitch but I never did get to relate them to any specific events. Mostly, I find the twitches a bit annoying.

My right eye started twitching for last one week. My wife had some misunderstanding with me and now she stays with her parents. Whenever my or my wife’s left eye twitched we had fight among ourselves but when it is right eye it is something good happens. May be she wants to come back to me as we have two grown up kids staying with me.

hi i juz found your site after searching for meaning of eye twitching. Something to share happen a moment ago.
My eye was twitching since yesterday. While i was searching and reading about it on the web, on one of site says women who have left eye twitching meaning bad luck or death of a family ! It is so scary to think of it and i quickly dismiss it as stupid supertious stuff. The next moment my sister sms and told me my uncle passed away last night ! My eye twitching is all sudden stop.
Uncanny, but i hope my eye don t twitch again !

Wow, your left eye twitch was a premonition. Sometimes, I get a left eye twitch also and then, I make sure that I am extra careful in whatever I am doing, and I tell my family to be careful also…just in case. The Chinese believe in general that when the left eye twitches, there is some bad news coming. I, too, hope my left eye won’t twitch!

Thanks, i have since ask around among my friends and relatives, found out that For WOMEN right eye twitch means good luck/good news and left eye twitch means bad luck/bad news. BUT for men, it is the other way round. For MEN right eye twitch means bad luck/bad news and left eye twitch means good news/luck.
I am not sure how true it is about different side for men and women, hopefully more people share their experience to find out !

I sometimes get twitches in the upper cheeks, right below the eyes, but I don’t have any information on what those mean.
They usually go away within a day or two. However, if any twitches do persist over a few days, it is best to see a doctor.
